Your technique a bit too slow in that first pic. That last pic looks good tho. Now weld to angle irons together

Step that cutting torch game up but that last weld is alright. Can tell that's MIG. Start practicing butt and lap joints, and vertical welding.

Yeah I have. First I would tack weld it then weld two square metal pieces together

Are you a welder?

I took some welding classes too and worked a couple jobs, mostly repairs. That's pretty thin for arc, maybe some thinner rods. You start with that or oxy-acetylene? Regret not learning TIG though I'm sure it's not much different.

I'd like to get a cutting torch and combo arc/mig machine for home projects. Keep at it, protect those eyes and lungs fam
