“Black men have a tendency to pigeonhole themselves into the most basic medicore type jobs and be content with just that. That mindset has to change”

Y'all keep having these imaginary conversations that are not rooted in reality.

The reality is Black men are discriminated against in the job market.

Black men are not intentionally being "pigeonholed" Black men are flat out being denied opportunities.

Read some Dr. Tommy Curry or watch a ToneTalks video before you make these goofy statements.

How is it that some black men make $80k+ salary and some don't?

What's the difference between the two?

A lot of high paying careers, you need to be on track starting from childhood. Reading books, solving problems, and being introduced to the field and its requirements early on. A lot of black kids are being failed in that regard. A lot of black kids can't read or do math, and it's tough to climb the hill alone when you could have been climbing with your peers when it was appropriate and expected for your age group to struggle climbing.

I was just on IG yesterday and saw this video in my feed.

This shyt annoyed me for some reason. Breh has been a field service technician for 15 years making $70K.:snoop:
I’ve been doing field technician work for a little over 3 years and am making more than that and I’m planning to get the fukk out this field next year cause that really ain’t shyt.:dahell:

Bro he’s happy where he’s at, and at peace with it. Lol at being mad at another man’s life choice’s and the satisfaction it brings him. He should be making more, for what exactly? Buy more useless things? Take a seat breh.

What do you think of the state of blk men? Are we performing perfectly fine even though we’re at the bottom?
This is obviously a chart that supports the claim that black people have been neglected, and pushed out of the greater economy

I’m assuming u have a different opinion?

Only black men do that? :patrice:

Sometimes y’all think the worst about your ownselves.

…that is, if you’re a black man to begin with
I know generalizations be thrown out a lot on this site and I’m typically against it but ima contradict myself

I think a decent amount of black people, I really want to say majority black people hate themselves

Aren't most men blue collar workers? How is this specific to black men?

Nah its closer to the truth then not. America is almost never at the top of education rankings, fewer people getting into stem fields every year. Its the main reason most stem talent is imported from other countries.

The pay to play college system takes alot of the blame. I knew people in Europe getting medical degrees for basically free.

nikkas calling me all types of idiot in this thread

I worked at fast food. Two jobs. Then I became a line cook. Did that for over 10 years. People my age would clown on me cause I was always working, saying I needed two jobs just to survive.

Then I started my business.

Been in business over 10 years

Just bought a house.

Bout to retire in maybe 5 years

Stop judging people u don't know. No one knew what my plan was, I was 20+ working fast food. The whole mentality this post was based on is just plain hatred. U don't know that person u don't know what they doing
