I'm white and grew up around mostly Mexicans. The only ones that were explicitly anti-racist were punks who would be considered "antifa" by most people.

I’m not against learning a language especially when it has a specific purpose. Many people don’t think about why they are learning a language or even what language they should learn for a specific goal.
They just say stupid things like “learn Spanish because there are a lot of Spanish people going to be in the country” like that is useful how?
They are deporting people in record numbers, more Mexicans are leaving the US than coming in legally recently, many Spanish speaking countries still have weak economies and low wages. Mega, mega rich families control much resources in many Spanish countries (For example, 8 families in Honduras own almost everything or have a connection) and those rich families already speak English.
Black people would be better served learning French, Arabic, or Chinese than Spanish...Hell, even German in most situations. I’m talking from the point of view as a black person who learned and is still learning Spanish...learn something else, it ain’t the upside you think it is.

Fam, ive seen u argue this post to post over and over again. Mandarin Chinese , English & Spanish are the top 3 business languages in the world. U not learning Mandarin Chinese as hard as it is, cuz even alot of chinese people have trouble with it especially writing it;so spanish ur better off with. And alot of money comes out of latin america depending on where ur at and wat u do.
Like for instance if u want cheap labor? Learn spanish so u can connect with ur labor force. It aint all about business and suit tie meetings. If u learn chinese then even better but good luck with that.

This is the first smart idea for learning Spanish that a nikkah has given me “cheap labor”. This is actually smart for black people, because it would allow them to present a Spanish person as part of the business to draw in more Hispanic customers.
It also presents a illegal labor source that can maximize profits and really help many people who want to work. Learning Chinese ain’t as hard to read and write, that just takes memorization. Chinese people tend to be good at math because they memorize all the formulas and the tables. Their language is memorization geared so they are used to it. Black people can learn Chinese, and I have met several African brothers and sisters who speak and read and write it fluently (to where they fool locals over the phone). I met a black boy who was 10 who spoke Chinese fluently, the whole hotel staff was freaked out, but it was impressive to watch.
Spanish is good to learn if it fits a useful purpose, if you just learning it because “a lot of people speak spanish” then you just helping leverage someone else community. Black children don’t really need to learn Spanish at that age, they better off learning something relatable to them because of their development stage in life.
Some idiot was ranting and raving about some hidden against Hispanic people. Dumbass doesn’t know that I know more Hispanic people than him (I work in social services, half my clients are Hispanic, and the majority have no legal paperwork to be here)
I’m the one making sure a family has food for their baby, referring them to lawyers who will help them with their immigration case, helping them get a tax is number, helping them secure off the books jobs, trying to find ways that the family can get ( if you are illegal you don’t have access to almost no welfare benefits) housing and become a full part of the American society.
This dumbass fakki @Diasporan Royalty chasing busted Spanish chicks and someone in his family married a Hispanic so he feels he has some connection.
I’m the one actually helping make it possible for homeless legal and illegal Hispanic families to find their footing in this society and help each other.
