Just saw the video on national news right now. The video does NOT match the officer claims. They said their lives were in danger but they clearly are continuing to shoot from behind when he was far past them.

That being said, the best we're gonna get out of this is a change in policy. They're never going to convict a cop who fired at someone who drove towards officers even if they fired when he wasn't driving towards officers anymore. We have to fight to make it explicitly illegal to fire into a car driving away.

This dude said during the interview that turning on your car is enough to make cops think their lives were in danger while he was explaining his bullshyt

I'm gonna put it like this. When i was under 16 i had drugs on me and cops rolled up on us with guns drawn because they were looking for someone who was involved in a shooting. I thought about throwing the drugs but i thought, if i move the wrong way they might shoot me thinking i have a weapon. Now i was under 16 with that knowledge. How can you guys cape for a 40 year old man that couldn't take his L and get arrested..
