I read this report, the victim backed into him knocking him down. You could argue he fired those shots in self defense.
But on a side note (and it doesn't clearly indicate it here) did he leave his car running while he went inside

She deserved what happened as a gun owner I know that once she has Driven off I am no longer able to shoot at her...but if she is within my presence I am allowed to and that includes if she turns to get away or backs up in my direction that poses a direct threat.
