We? As in homo-sapiens that are against laws that allow people to justify murder in situations where it isn't necessary? Oh hold up, were you trying to make me feel marginalized based on my skin color friend? Now that isn't very nice. You're lucky we aren't in Florida because based on the tone of your post you sound a little aggressive and I feel threatened.
Lets do this step by step, you ready?
I think it'll go silent because it's just a black dude killing another black dude.
Perfect! You understood your limited knowledge in the racial construct of society, I like it. Although that "just" hints at this being insignificant which makes me a little worried about your perception on BOB crime, but we'll leave that for another thread.
We can't hype this story up with racism like the first posters in this thread tried to do.
Now this is what gets me. You said you mean "we" as human beings, but then you want to show authority in deciding in what we can/can't "hype" up as racism? Who are you to even make that decision? A person of color will have a valid opinion since he can relate to the circumstances and subconsciously validates their reasoning by being reminded of their own experiences in similar circumstances, and rightfully so. This is the point where it stops being a human issue and instead
solely involves the opinions of people who can relate to the victim.
"we" would never be the "we" you dream of it to be. There is no we in this society when it involves racial/ethical/socio-economic etc issues. There is no "we" and there would never be a "we" in the context of race.
Even though we should be focusing on the law.
Now this is a "we" issue since it involves the country' set of conduct which is, theoretically, as important to you as it is to me.
Do you now understand why it is laughable that someone like
you would ever have the authority to say we in relation to a racial issue?
EDIT: And the pitiful attempt at being funny in the last sentence makes me realize how desperately you try to entertain people instead of understanding the importance of the issue. This is Higher Learning, come correct or
