This is why some people remain single . They rather have their partner put in the work , but not themself.

That isn't hypocrisy. Most people are looking for traits in a partner that complete them meaning it could be complimentary or contradictory to their own traits. He just has a preference that's all, and he is allowed to have it. At least his preference is more realistic than what women prefer out here.
