So tons of Whites carry real guns into Walmart all the time but this guy was a threat with a toy guy. SMDH. I'm actually kinda happy the Police are getting exposed on a national level. If you are Black in America you've know this for as long as you've been alive that the Police aren't our friends. I'll never forget that talk my Dad had with me but also my mother too. That's sad that Black Parents have to "Warn" their kids about the police. These are things Whites in America will never understand.
Walmart is a dysfunctional mess. shyt is laying around all the time in sections it's not suppose to be in. The sporting section at many Walmarts is right next to the toy section so it's completely possible for an idiot employee to place the BB gun in the wrong section. His girlfriend wasn't there with him but she was on the phone. The witness who called the police came out and said he wasn't pointing it at anyone but had it pointed in the air when he was walking with it so that witness lied previously saying the gun was pointed at people. A lawyer has no power to release videos, the police and the state does that. I don't see anything one sided with this. The lawyer saw the video with the family and said the police lied. A lawyer wouldn't lie publicly about something like this when this will be used and shown in court. Most mass shootings are done by white people and most of those mass shooters are apprehended which only further shows the disproportion of aggressive police force on people of color in this country.
There was a situation that happened this year where Open Carry people protested by stepping into stores and places of business with their rifles. They did step into a Walmart as well as a chipotle and other places and no one called the place therefore showing the stereotypes in this country
Of course only people who will know are those who were there but a lawyer wouldn't publicly make an announcement like this if it wasn't true. Because the video will be shown in a trial and any lying he could get fired and lose his job and credibility. When you read scientific studies it shows more black people and unarmed black people face aggressive and deadly force more than white people do. So while people of all races can face police brutality, it's disproportionate to people of color which makes this issue very much about race
