This is pure ignorance. None of those people are even officially a part of BLM and only two of them are activists. People always love to talk about what people should do while not doing anything and having no idea what other people are doing. Twitter is how they bring attention to themselves, but sit there and act like they weren't on the ground in Ferguson. Sit there and act like they haven't had meetings with presidential candidates to the point where a BLM is one of the heads of Sander's campaign. Sit there and pretend like they did not catch the ear of stars and get them to donate to these causes. And when you're done pretending, tell me what you have done lately and how it compares to these people.
As far as I'm concerned, there work with Campaign Zero and their new movement to go at police union contracts is enough in and of itself to vindicate them. They had one public spat, big deal.
Campaign Zero is the only actionable policy you mentioned, and even that isn't really a part of BLM. In fact some BLM activists are upset over that campaign as well as DeRay's involvement. I actually prefer DeRay over many BLM folks due to this - he has policy ideas. The issue is now translating that into action. Lots of these activists don't get that top down change doesn't work. You gotta focus on the state and local sector. Sanders isn't going to save you, neither is Hillary. These same people will be crying in 2020 that President Hillary didn't do anything for them. She can't. Which is why you go after local representatives. The Tea Party understands that, why doesn't BLM?
Which is my problem. You have all these splinter groups and chapters working independently and catching feelings over shyt.
In terms of what I've done? I donate to organizations I believe are legit. I volunteer and donate money to my local Big Brothers Big Sisters program. I substitute teach at an inner city school that brings in professionals to teach children what they do (for instance, this program might bring in a radiologist to show kids what they do, give them education advice on how to get into the profession, etc).
I'm not going to ask what you have done. Based on your posts I'm going to assume you do your share as well. I respect you as a poster, I just disagree on BLM. Not a fan of the group breh, at all.
