Just like this movie is positive, uplifting, motivating and increasing racial pride in our youth, hip-hop must be altered to do the same thing. Black kids wearing dashikis and being proud of their blackness, guess what, hip-hop has the same power.

Destructive and mentally poisonous hiphop MUST be shunned, done away with and replaced with music that will have the same effects as this movie.

What's the point of all of this if they're gonna be flooded with music telling them its cool to be a dangerous, lean-sipping, pill-popping savage after leaving the movie theatre.

Hip-hop can have an even greater effect on the self-esteem and racial pride of our youth than this movie when actually used to do so:

Hip-hop along with other forms of media like Black Panther movies can literally change the entire perception of "blackness" worldwide.

You're anti hip-hop crusade is fukking tiring.

:mjcry:

Positive images go a long way.

I'm with @PhonZhi . All this positive energy can easily be killed with the negative shyt that hip hop is pumping into our kids' brains.

Imagine if, of this momentum, a top rapper switched it up and put out an album of nothing but positive messages laced with Black Nationalist/Pan-African themes.

Something like that. :wow:

See late 80s early 90s

Violence was worse back then believe it or not.

I'm speaking on the perception of "blackness" in our own eyes.

There's no way you could think that music/media portraying blacks as savage, pill-popping thugs is better for our self-esteem than music of the opposite nature:dwillhuh:

Please don't tell me that y'all don't think music (just like this movie) has an effect on how we view and treat ourselves and each other:dwillhuh:
