Happy Black History Month, TSC!

It's that time of year again that we celebrate #BlackExcellence and Black wrestlers who impact the wrestling business while they unapologetically represent their Blackness and our Black culture. ✊🏾

This year, we'll start with a rising star in the wrestling business, Dementia D. Rose a.k.a. The W.O.A.D.
She is a history maker because she is the first half blind female wrestler in the sport.

The W.O.A.D. currently works for the NWA and SHINE, but she has been tearing up the indies for a while now.

Asé (pronounced Ah-Shay) is an Yoruba word from the Yoruba language, which means three very important things:
#1 Asé is a word of affirmation, similar to the word ‘Amen’ at the end of a prayer. It also means, “Right on!”, “Yes!”, or “I’m with you!”
#2 Asé is a word that means life force or life energy.
#3 Asé means the power to create that which you speak.

With those meanings in mind, Bro. Darius Lockhart decided to bet on himself (and on the culture of Black wrestling) and he manifested ASÉ Wrestling in 2023:
