A black owned promotion with the right backing would do numbers today. A lot of us love this wrestling shyt. I'm even surprised by the amount of black women I see that love wrestling too. WWE has done a tad better in showcasing black talent, but I'm not giving them credit cause they still book most black wrestlers as chumps or inferior. AEW is just a lost cause :mjlol:

The black talent today is just flat out superior all around and would bring in crazy $ with the right people behind it. Look at all these little white kids they be showing that love Bianca, Sasha, New Day etc... The black audience is still untapped in this business and could be a great source of revenue for any company that taps into it the right way. And you already know everyone else will watch too, because they always watch what we do :sas1:

What y'all think?

longest reigning wwe champions

Xavier Woods is the longest-reigning WWE (Raw) Tag Team Champion at 627 Days!

You might think, huh? How is Xavier Woods here? The New Day makes this possible.

We previously knew the Raw title as the WWE Tag Team title (remember the Bronze pennies?). Woods was helped considerably by being added via the Freebird Rule, after Big E & Kofi Kingston claimed their first reign in 2015. In their second reign, the stable held it for an astounding 483 days, and during this time, WWE rebranded the championship as the Raw Tag Team title.

In the past two years, Woods & Kingston twice claimed it again, but did not hold on for long. It’s that second reign which got Woods here. The New Day beat the 478 day single reign record set by Demolition.

Sandy Parker was the first African American woman to win a major world title. Unlike Ethel Johnson and many who came before her, Parker made it impossible to erase her accomplishments.

In 1971, she obtained her first title alongside Sue Green as the two defeated Donna Christianello and Rose to win the NWA World Women’s Tag Team Championship. However, she achieved her greatest success in Japan, where she worked with wrestling legend and former the NWA World Women’s Champion—Mildred Burke.

During her time with All Japan Women’s Pro-Wrestling (AJW), she became an eight-time WWWA World Tag Team Champion. On May 15, 1973, she ended Miyoko Hoshino’s 293-day reign to become the tenth WWWA World Champion. She held the title for 56 days before she dropped it back to Hoshino.

Parker retired in 1986 but she opened the door for Aja Kong and Amazing Kong, better known as Awesome Kong, to win the WWWA singles title decades later. In 1998, WWF crowned its first black women’s champion, Jacqueline, 25 years after Sandy Parker laid the groundwork in Japan.

This warms my heart.

There was a time you told a Black woman you liked wrasslin' and a lot of em would look at you sideways like it was CAC shyt.

Now, they dominating.

Again, this why I NEVER shyt on Cameron for saying Alicia Fox v. Melina was her favorite match.

Representation is important. A lot of Black & Latino girls probably saw that and wanted to start wrasslin'

Aja Smith

Aja Smith

This developmental signing changed career paths from an in-ring performer to putting on the stripes. The referee made history as the first full-time black female referee in WWE history. She added another accolade being the first black female woman to officiate a match at WrestleMania.
S/O to Ref Aja!

Shelton Benjamin

Shelton Benjamin

Shelton Benjamin was a collegiate star athlete, and is a former WWE Intercontinental, United States and tag team champion, and will likely be a Hall of Fame inductee. The veteran has seemingly found the fountain of youth, still competing at a high level. A Hurt Business alum recently celebrated 20 years since his first match on SmackDown.
