I'm extremely disappointed in this school. My sister chose to enroll her son here because she believed they had a good specialized program that wasn't available at the other school she was considering. But little did she know the trade off he'd be making. This school is racist. School isn't just about academics but it's about nurturing the whole child. He was made to doubt his own history and the significance of his own NAME by administrators who have refused to allow him to have his name on his sweater because he was named after the Civil Rights advocate Malcolm X. They said he shouldn't associate himself with the famous leader. Ummm...it's his name. The officials at the school claim they aren't racist because they have SEVEN whole books about Malcolm X. in their library! This is laughably insulting. I don't plan on sending my children to this school and I'm thankful my sister is placing him in a Historically Black University for college so he can have an educational experience led by people who value him and his heritage. Oakwood University--which is where he will be attending--is a CHRISTIAN school. Too bad the same can't be said for Christ the King High School.

I’m pretty sure it’s a catholic school because having a statue and images is paganism, and just because some folks make claims to the lamb doesn’t mean they are part of that spiritual being.
