Don't give anybody your idea without getting it registered or copyrighted or whatever you have to do to own the idea.....

This isn't true. Ideas aren't that valuable because everybody has ideas. What matters is executing the idea, and real developers probably won't want to work with someone who has no development skills but is an "Idea Man."
