I don’t know for sure about institutional fakkitry but I have my suspicions

I do know that the whole frat setup is weird as hell though and very reminiscent of slavery, cults and gangs

You get hazed which can consist of physical abuse, emotional abuse, sleep deprivation, isolation from non-frat people/support systems

You get a new name/identity

You get line brothers that you may not have any shared values with outside of a desire to join the frat. You hysterically bond with them during stress of pledging/hazing because they’re the only ones who “understand”

Then a lot of brehs get branded like cattle

After crossing you’re then “brothers” with the same nikkas who abused you and you see the abuse as a form of care by helping you “man up”

All of the above happens just so you can be “special” to hoes, other brehs, potential employers. So you can be a “chosen” one
