Left the place i consider home in 2005 and i'll tell you what:
The defeatist, inferiority complex of Detroit is disgusting, it even runs down to the fans of the sports teams
on some elements its a black and white thing, how many city council members are white? i only remember the chick in the hats that never "seemed" to do anything. i wouldnt mind some suburban perspective, honestly the city needs it.
cut the fukking grass on public property
build a mall downtown
the schools unfortunately won't prosper until people wake up OR whites come into the city (harsh reality) Until then it'll be an endless cycle of blame on both ends and "woe is me" mentality from a Detroit end.
i'll always root for my city and ride for it even on the west. One day hope to live there again...but i probably won't.

we use to call it the Club UGL because it used to be crazy up in there. Student Center was basically the chill out spot. So much fukkery up in there too. If you wanted to bag up on a chick those were the spots to be at. Always said that Wayne State is one of the only schools where you could go to class and see a bum or homeless dude in the same lecture hall chillin. They stayed littered all around campus. Loved my time there tho.
