Barely survived winning his 14th straight today. Ryan trailed slightly going into Final Jeopardy and everyone got the question wrong (all chose the same wrong answer too), but the person in 1st bet more than he did so he just barely squeaked out a win. Didn't add much to his money total but lived to play another day.

With 14 wins Ryan takes sole possession of the 9th-longest Jeopardy winning streak in history. If he continues winning it will take a full week to reach the next guy at 19 wins, but he's now 60% of the way to 23 which would put him in the top-5.
A win is a win :salute: to bro

Crazy game today. Ryan faced an extremely dangerous challenger in NYU professor Tom Philipose, who has previously won $50,000 on "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?" Tom finished slightly ahead at the first round after having built an early lead, but by the end of Double Jeopardy Ryan had the advantage $22,800 to $18,800. In Final Jeopardy all three of them got the question wrong, just like yesterday. Yesterday Ryan used a smaller bet to pull out the victory from 2nd place....and today it was the same from 1st place. Ryan had only bet $3500 (meaning he would have lost if they both had gotten it right) to finish with $19,300, while Tom bet everything and ended up at 0.

Today Ryan faced a policy analyst from D.C. and a PhD/Medical student from Stony Brook. Ryan maintained a narrow lead most of the night that widened into a runaway when he got his daily double right and the challenger got it wrong. Ryan got Final Jeopardy right as well to finish with a smooth 20 grand.

He's now won 16 consecutive games and $299,400.
