An arm of white supremacy espousing the traditional, "white is right" value system so you should always forgive whites, but never forgive blacks for committing the same atrocity?

I am very shocked (/sarcasm).

Why do people act like the families forgiving this murderer means they do not want him to go to jail?

People get so lost in their bias that they will look at things from the most distorted view point.

This is why I'm skeptical of anyone with extreme view points, cause they arguments are full of holes.

If you would not forgive, to each his own.

But to make forgiveness the same thing as protecting or caping the killer is some twisted stuff that could only come from a corrupt society that values the lowest common denominator.

The point is, you forgive those who ask for it. Who show remorse.

You can't forgive someone still showing malice or are in the act of violating you. That's not forgiveness, that's being too scared or meek to defend yourself.

I think the word "forgive" is being used wrong. The word closer to how they're using it is "excuse".

Also, just because you forgive someone shouldn't mean you won't apply justice to them. I'll forgive you...but I'm still putting these bullets in you for justice.

Here is my thing.

They are free to forgive all they like.

Just don't say you forgive on record. How many times have black children been killed without the killer getting a justful sentance because everyone forgave on record.

Do this from now on. Go home, pray and forgive, but in court, just say you have nothing to say on record. There, problem solved and you have not helped the killer's chance of getting out scott free.

Simple? Sure. Will everyone do it? No. But we need a code where everyone does do it.

I do think they forgive too quick. It would take me decades or centuries to forgive.

But you don't hear Trayvon Martin's dad saying he forgives Zimmerman. Even if he does, he aint saying it in front of no press.
