So why, on this visit, does the staff have such trouble identifying even one black co-worker?"

Of course I identified as "noir" and "nègres ". " Black " is an English term. I didn't learn to speak English until I was 15 or 16

But "noir" = "black" , doggy. Did you know that? What the fukk I look like soaking another language and saying "black"?

Explain this to me. If "Noir" in Haiti simply means "black" like it's used in the Afram/USA sense, why does Haiti/Haitian's oppose the American One Drop Rule style of "black" identity?

One drop rule was adopted by racist pigs in order to classify more people as black/inferior in the U.S. It was not the same abroad.

It's quite simple, breh do the math: A+B ≠ A. And A+B ≠ B neither

In addition: During slavery when the white colonists would have an enslaved woman pregnant, the children from said would be considered mulattos and thus werent slaves themselves.The Slave masters would typically treat them as his own children.

FOR EXAMPLE:I remember growing up in haiti there was a famous play about a young mullatto during colonial times who fell in love with a white woman. As he asked her hand i marriage he was worried that she would reject him because little did she know that the black slave who had been serving as her maid during her stay at his father's plantation, was actually his mother. Perhaps my haitian brehs on this site can remember the name of the movie.

But anyway this is just to give some of you an example that the perception of mullattos is not the same worldwide. Just because YOU in YOUR hood, YOUR city, YOUR state, YOUR country consider mulattoes to be "black" doesnt mean it's the standard.

but this is exactly why the way "black" is used today around the world is an Afram concept. To Aframs "Blackness" is a state of mind and ancestry regardless of complexion. This exactly the modern concept that spread around the world from Aframs. For exmaple, South Africans (black ones of various backgrounds) learned to embrace the modern concept of "Black" after being influenced by the 1960's Black Power Mvmnt in the USA by

Black people literally arguing about who the better rapper or dancer is, while the Asians, Europeans and Arabs are working together to dominate the world and control the resources.
