Get little to no shine in the US. Soccer. BMX. Water Polo. Skateboarding. Swimming.

We're killing it in those sports and it breaks my heart that those athletes aren't held in higher esteem. They're dominating sports and breaking down barriers. S/O Alex Kennedy. Black Man. Kareem Williams. Nigel Sylvester. Edwin De La Rosa. Nyjah Huston. All my African soccer family. Malcolm and James Stewart.

I'm heavy into motorcycles and I hate the fact that we have no brothers in road racing. Ricky Gadson does dragstrip. Only 2 that I know and have met are into motocross are Malcolm and his brother....

:salute:, I met James and Malcolm years ago at Loretta Lynn's Nationals, I was working as a photographer for a distributor at the races, both cool cats. I have some pics of them on the track I'll have dig out.

@backinmyday I rode a few dirtbikes, nothing serious, stayed with street sportbikes. Should have gotten into the sport at a young age.

Pretty jealous you went to Loretta Lynn's. Always wanted to go, I bet the PAWGs were out in force there:pachaha:

You can still get into it man. I can't wait to get the time and money so I can whip these boys on the track. Personally I ain't rode in forever and I only been to a track like twice :whoa:.

I use to go to my local track a few times , and the supercross here as a spectator. I remember seeing Bubba scrub the shyt out these boys on a 125 2 stroke while everyone else was on a 250F :ahh:. Damn now I remember that I finessed someone in line for Jeremy McGraths autograph back then :mjlol:.

I only got a chance to go to Loretta's once, but it was a great experience, place is massive, as far as PAWGs, not as many as you would think out in Hurricane Mills, TN. Now I went to MotoGP road racing in Indy for 3 yrs straight, they were in full force out there, and I mean some bad ones. I'm 35+, it would be a few track days for me, plus to try and get off work on Saturdays is impossible. I've done a few track days in Vegas and Mid Ohio road coarse, fun as shyt, highly recommmended for street bike enthusiast. I've never done dirt on a track, photography only. Yea, Bubba was getting it in at an early age, giving them that work, felt good to see a brother competing. At Loretta's I met Chad Reed, he was on his superstar stuff tho, no pics, kinda of an a$$hole.

Soccer is an alternative sport, now? :russ: :deadmanny:

But on the topic it's mostly due to lack of interest and peer pressure. Im sure someone will make a case for racism too.

I remember when i first moved to the U.S. i was at a high-school where it was a pretty good mix of all cultures in the 90s. Black and White Americans, Cubans, Haitians, Jamaicans, Bahamians, Puerto Ricans and Nicaraguans, Vietnamese all over.

Anyway, We all used to play soccer in the back corner baseball field when it wasnt being used for practice. WHen we could we would use the football field too. But The american kids never showed any interest in the sport. It was pick up basketball or out there throwing footballs. "Soccer is for chumps" is what they used to say. Mind you i spent most of my time playing basketball and volleyball (my 2 favorite sports) but every now and then would go play soccer with the crew. But those same american kids i played basketball with would laugh and make fun when i'd go play soccer while i wait for the next basketball game. The few that would show some interest in playing would be clowned.

But all the sudden Americans are finally accepting the fact that soccer is overwhelmingly the world's most popular sport and wanna join in the party.

THe bottom line is black people all over the world been playing soccer for centuries, now. For all the resources americans have they can easily become a world power in soccer. The entire world has athletes. But Athletes dont just evolve. The talent and athleticism has to be nurtured. But with most of the interest being on american football and baseball and basketball noone is gonna focus the dolloars on soccer to allow it to thrive here and gain interest.

All that nonsense of americans playing sccer now is just a fad if you ask me. They're throwing some money into it now because there is money to be made in it even tho the soccer leagues here suck ass
