They can address it all they want, the majority of Asians in America have made their choice and either ignore, shun, or exploit black people and our communities, and i have no time to listen to hot air.

It's never a good idea to make up your mind and decisions without enough data to support it. They tackled a lot of things like the model minority myth, etc.

Only a few posts in and the thread is already dominated by racism and myopia.
I should have known better. I still cannot give you a pass for liking that Taylor track though :mjpls:. Fortunately for you most of the smartest people I know like bad top 40 music :obama:

Haha...Im a "swift-bruh". Cant even lie.

I pretty much considered her music mindless before this last record, which I consider a pop tour-de-force, and one reflecting tremendous growth. Her hook game is crazy and in another league right now.

I take her music for what it is...nothing more or less, and in her lane she arguably the biggest and best pop star this side of beyonce. I love the fact she's hooking up with king kendrick, which shows she's open to challenging her close-minded audience and jumping out of her comfort zone. Good for her. That song knocks!

As you can see Im far more interested in debating the music stylings of T.Swift with decent and smart people, rather than conversing with racists around here who cry about discrimination but love to demonize, stereotype, and scapegoat other communities and nationalities, and view them in the same hateful and suspicious ways whites do to black folk.

The thing is, Max Martin and co are behind her pop songs, so what you're really saying is that you love her new songwriters. She's just the face and a rather bland one to me :manny:. But aside from that, I don't even get what makes a good pop album these days because all of these people sound the same. It just seems like the fan base people build up differentiates them. This girl: Is a much better voice to me, but she is not nearly as popular :yeshrug:

Word.

I've always wondered about this myself.

I hate it when I see people on this site generalize about other minorities, black people and women, and throw around slurs. Dont you realize that's what racists have been doing to us for centuries? And then you turn around and do it yourself... like Kendrick said "Hypocrite!!!"

They call white people evil and then turn around and do the same practices they did, ie generalize and degrade people for no reason other than their amusement and to make themselves feel superior. Logically, doesnt that make you evil? You must practice what you preach

I wont lie, sometimes I say and do things that are hypocritical myself, but then I recant and think about what I said. I even try not to prejudge whites these days, because that would mean just lowering myself to the level of white racism in America, and I know Im too smart to stoop to their level. I mean, I dont trust whites right away when I meet them (I dont trust people period), but I try not to hold prejudices. Its a struggle though...

Honestly the people on here who do it, and are serious in their beliefs, are no better than the racist whites they claim to hate.

I mean seriously, how hard is it to have an open mind and consciously hold back prejudices?
