I had a response for that too in the thread that sparked this.

I’m not trying to be pedantic but do they really have human-like interactions? Do those type of interactions really begin and end with humans? Or are they having the type of interactions that Earth-based lifeforms have and since you are also a Earth-based lifeform you exhibit those same behaviors? It may seem like a meaningless question but it basically asks if you see the world like a European or not.

Europeans typically look at themselves as an “other” from EVERYTHING even other Homo sapiens, assume themselves to be the gold standard, and then compare everyone else to them. When you look at those Baboons and say they have “human-like” interactions, you’re engaging in that type of thought process. When in reality them nikkas (baboons) on the same planet as you, composed of the exact same components as you, and have extremely similar DNA.

The separation between you and the Baboon is not as far apart as you think and to a lifeform from a different planet may be non-existent.
