Most of my family never left, as we’re still mostly in NC and surrounding areas. I don’t think I’ll ever leave the south. I got bread, land, and the pace is just right.

It’s a good thing seeing more of us coming back to the homeland. If you gotta stank attitude, just leave it up there is all I ask.

thought of moving back to my hometown area (Charleston, SC) once my sons are grown, but the gentrification has fukked the area where I grew up. To move back into my old neighborhood is nuts right now. All the nikkaz have moved to the outside and surrounding cities/towns/counties.

My child’s mother is from Beaufort, and we all went down there a few weeks ago. That’s where her fam originated. The history there is so rich. She told me when our daughter hits up college, she’s thinking of moving back. I wouldn’t mind having some property out there. It was a peaceful place, and shyt, them white folks buying up land out there like crazy. Just from learning about the area, it would be ashamed if they got all that land

all of the lowcountry is nice, but cacs trying to get in on it. so much land is owned by our people along the coasts of SC and GA that is VALUABLE.

Some of my wife's bestfriends are from St Helena Island (Beaufort area) and they literally have an estate on the island with a bunch of land where the fam members have houses on.

Best bet is to find some land out in the Beaufort area and cop and build a home on it. That Land ownership is the key.

Nah I’ve lived in multiple countries and multiple US states and the Southern US is by far the safest place I’ve ever been as a black man. There’s really no other region in the world that compares.

People shyt on the South but I’ve seen far more racism and bold racists in my 1 year in Cali than I have all my life in the South. Like I could literally drive thru Gainesville GA which is basically a fukking sundown town and find less over the top racism than some shyt in Cali. Almost everything about the Coasts are vastly overrated. Who gives a fukk about the beach when they all have dirty contaminated water that will probably shave years off your life?

Trash everywhere. Homeless everywhere. Costs for homes surrounded by trash and homeless sky high. It’s garbage unless you’re loaded enough to be isolated from everybody but who the hell really is wants that in their 20s-30s?

I agree on that land ownership tip. My grandfather had land down here in NC that he left to each of his kids, and to the kids of the ones who passed before he did. I believe it was about 5 acres each. One aunt and one uncle built houses on their property, and since they both passed, I believe my cousins are renting the house out. But they live back up top. Other cousins promptly sold their piece of the land when it fell to them. My moms is thankfully still with us, and me and my sister both agree that when it falls to us, we're not gonna just up and sell all the land.
