LA area got about the same Black pop as Philly and Miami- BlackDemographics.com | Black City Population

It's only low percentage wise, and Blacks are more spread out. It was kind of weird for me driving through South Central, Compton, etc, and seeing mostly Mexicans when I visited in '14, being from a city like DC where you can drive for an hour through certain portions of the area and see 90% Black people. DC got me spoiled. It's only when I visit other cities do I realize how unique it really is.
