I hear you but at high school level the entry barrier I super competitive so you want to get them in earlier where you have to do an interview, the paperwork and luck on your side.

Yeah I agree with what ya'll are saying. But most of those Private expensive High Schools are grades 7-12. That is from 12 years old - 17/18 years old. That is more than enough time to get connections, build relationships, etc
And it's not really about the price, it's just the lack of need for sending children under 12 for that type of school. There are plenty of public elementary schools that are top notch, world class teachers, special admission requirements, academically sound, etc, and provide similar benefits free of charge
Age 12-18 are the more important career defining and future setting ages IMO
