There are people who delay getting tested for that shyt and live with it for years. Only when they start to get bad symptoms do they finally go to the doctor to get help, but by then the virus has taken it's toll. You can imagine a religious man being hesitant to get tested immediately, and you can certainly imagine him being in denial about it.
