Find me a West African woman who looks like Alicia Keys
They were definitely considered white by the 50s, most of them don't look too terribly different from other people considered white.Italians werent considered white in America until relatively recently.
Well that's the African component of most black Americans, in addition to the West Coast of Southern Africa.West African? Black American phenotypes are a little more vast than that.

Well of course they can overlap since many black Americans not considered mixed have significant white ancestry.I'm not arguing that Biracials looks overlap with indigenous Africans, I am saying lighter Black Americans and Biracials have significant phenotype overlap. And since light skin doesn't mean more mixed, its pretty hard to ID a Biracial that falls in that overlap. Of course, there are Biracials who are clearly Biracial and a small minority who overlap with Whites.
ehh it's not so much that way anymore, some people seem truly mixed to me in their appearance and attitudeIn this society, there is no such thing as biracial. You are either white or you are black.

She's biracial whether or not both her parents are black. Biracial doesn't just mean one white parent/one black parent. So saying Halle Berry couldn't be of two Black parents sounds kind of silly, right? That 9/10 Biracials looking distinctly Biracial is absurd.

So you don't think someone who is 50% white/50% black is mixed just because one of their parents isn't fully white?
That's still recent, and even then they were looked down on as greaseballs, or gangsters. It's only the last 40 years or so where Italians are viewed as normal white people. Their features are different from the typical white features too. They were definitely considered white by the 50s, most of them don't look too terribly different from other people considered white.

He is right. Biracial means belonging to two races.

If I have a kid with a mulatto chick how is my kid not bi-racial?
