damned mine eyes, DAMNED mine eyes!!
thecoli is full of idiots. I gave up trying to reply to some of these comments.
imma say this though, AFRICAN =/= Black. Americans in particular seem to not understand this. There are non-black Africans. Just cause someone is born in an African country and has cac features, it doesn't make them black. Is French Montana black just cause he's from northen Africa?
There are black people in Africa who have light complexion without being biracial or non-black but there are very few of them. The only ones I can vouch for are the kho-isan decedents (myself included) who have always been light skinned since forever. ZERO cac features on their body! Most of the light skinned people used as examples here are people from families or tribes with admixture where most of the cac features were bred out. Most Americans find this hard to comprehend though because over there any biracial individual gets labeled as black even though they aint.
This is why most of you claim Somalians to be black even though they aren't black people or considered as black by most other black Africans. Just cause someone is not very light doesnt mean they aren't mixed. Thats like saying dark skinned indians are actually black people. It is well known that Somalians and most people in East African countries are mixed and decedents of Arabs. I can never co-sign callin them people people black even if they are born and raised in Africa
By the way, I share an office space on campus with 4 other guys (one from Ghana, one from Nigeria, one from Botswana and another from Malawi). We talk about these things all the time.
The only light skinned BLACK people who arent decedents of cacs in Africa are found in the Southern region due to them being decedents of Khoi san black people.
Up North and West is where this phenomenon doesn't apply. People over there are pretty dark. A light skinned looking individual who passes off as black is almost certainly a result of some racial mixing in their family tree.
Deny it all you like, but its the real truth
