Not every person in Africa, paritcularly sub-saharan Africa, is dark as night and due to colonialism there are mixed people around or people with lighter complexions.

Physically overlapping with an African American that has 30%+ non-African ancestry isn't a qualifying factor for playing an African nationality that is apparently situated near Kenya and Uganda and completely untouched by white colonialism, neo colonialism, political interference, investment and aid or tourism.

Not all Africans are Black. The Berbers are an ethnic group that are INDIGENOUS/NATIVE to Africa. However, most Berbers don't have the stereotypical African look (aka dark skin, kinky hair, etc).

I don't believe thats true. From my experience people have thought I was white when I straightened my hair. (FYI I don't understand their reasoning ) I'm blacker or just as black than a lot my Darker skin DNA relatives on 23and me.You usually can see the difference between a black person whos white lineage is far removed but just has a light complexion, and then a biracial person.

I think I'm a rare case though. My Prometheus's account said I had a genes for pale skin and red hair. I'm AA so yes it's different. We we colonialized But it is frustrating to see people darker than me but less African.

You can say whatever, but there is definitely colorism and perception of beauty where lighter skinned people are typically given roles due to that.
I'm also tired of every commercial out nowadays showing a mixed couple with light skinned babies. We get it , it happens but can't we get a true all black family sometimes? I even feel black-ish plays on this as well but it's whatever.
