Imagine cloning and teraforming perfected to the point where elites get together one day and say *we dont need humanity anymore* We'll replace them. Now lets have some fun out there. They could be come like modern greek gods to the new form of humanity in the span of some centuries and create a group of people who believe they have no creator over some time who in turn replace their own God and create their civilization.
