Binge watching X-Files again

Are the movies any good?

First one is dope imo. The term 'action packed' would be an understatement.

The second one is weird because the X-File turns out to not be an X-File and it's basically a drama about Mulder and Scully's relationship. If you're into their relationship then it's interesting but its not a typical X-Files either in tone or story.

Good ones I've watched in recent weeks

Okay. I was doing this. I think it's season one. Some arson guy. Was he really supposed to be a regular arson guy or an alien committing arson? I didn't see the whole episode.

I watched one last night where they had genetically modified tobacco which caused spores to infect people when smoked and then larvae and bugs would hatch and choke the human host. Grossest episode ever.

Is it in season 3?

IMO season 3 (and to a slightly lesser extent season 4) have the grossest episodes. Those seasons have the best mythology episodes and a lot of the best one off episodes, but a lot of the grossest moments in the ‘monster of the week’ episodes are from those seasons.

Dreamland is The Area 51/body switch 2 parter right? If so that’s one of my all time favorites.

Is it in season 3?

IMO season 3 (and to a slightly lesser extent season 4) have the grossest episodes. Those seasons have the best mythology episodes and a lot of the best one off episodes, but a lot of the grossest moments in the ‘monster of the week’ episodes are from those seasons.

It was either S6 or S7. I agree the earlier seasons were gritty.
