Ain’t no turn around on Drake on here. Dude was polarizing even when he was considered at his peak

Polorizing =/= people saying he wasn't Hip Hop. This didn't become the narrative until the reference tracks leaked. The amount of groupying done for Drake from 2009-2015 was crazy. Everything from a Drake stimulus to people hyping up mediocre lines to people actually saying he was coming for Jay Z's spot.

Drake said from his own mouth that he was pop bruh. Him being a rb etc has always been discussed on here. Drakes highest popularity on here was probably 2013

Lady Gaga nor Pink are doing numbers. Lady Gaga's reign on top was short like leperchauns. I remember that 2008-2011 run where she was seemingly unstoppable. Then she dropped an album that did 1 million in 1 week sold at $2 a pop on Amazon. Try naming a song from it beyond the title track. She hasn't been the same since. Pink hasn't had a platinum album since 2017.
Lady Gaga currently has the #2 song in the country after being #1 globally for 8 weeks in a row :gucci:

what do you mean her reign was short on top, shes had the #1 song in the world for the past 2 months in a row :gucci:

The song with Bruno?

She also released an album this yr Harlequin
which made no noise. Did 25k it's first week. Inspired by her role in the Joker 2 which flopped

The album she released before that did 274k the first week of its release in 2020 and took several months to go platinum.... similar story with its predecessor ...Again a far cry from when Born This Way (2011) moved 1 million units it's first week

Sure, she has a #1 song, but Lady Gaga is nowhere near being the Top artist out, which she was from 2008-2011. We're talking multiple #1's to even missing the charts.

Beyonce is the most overrated star imaginable. Her music isnt as popular as her stardom would have you believe. Shes not even top30 daily streamed artist on spotify. She only has two songs with a billion spotify streams. Drake has 20, soon to be 21.

I would love to see how much Drake sell if he didnt have a album on Spotify for 3 years. On top of it only being exclusive for the smallest service.
She has 7 albums. 4 sold 5 millon or more. One sold 4 million. One sold 3 million which was a exclusive to the smallest platform.

She has dozens of plat/gold singles

In short. She one of the most popular artists ever

The one thing everyone forgetting is AKON.

He wasn't Rap or traditional R&B, and he wasn't Rock. He was and is a Pop act. You can be from any genre and be Pop though. To be honest, I'd have Akon in the Top 10 easy. He's Top 5 in my honest opinion, maybe even Top 3.

Beyonce isn't that great of a singer either. Granted, Rihanna is trash live and can't sing for shyt but at least her recordings sound fire. Solo Beyonce sounds mediocre on wax too. :hubie:

Beyonce is definitely not the most overrated. Spotify is only part of the picture especially for an artist who was actually selling multiple million physical copies. Beyond that, that Beyonce album
from 2013 is why release dates changed from Tuesday to Friday. She popularized the surprise album with that album. She is one of the most highest grossing touring artists.

Streaming isn't the end all/be all.

If anyone is overrated, its Britney Spears. #6 is way too high for her.
