I mostly agree but it def wasn't debatable on ATLiens. Andre left the earth on that album. Nobody woulda out rapped him on there. But yea Big Boi gets highly disrespected. I felt bad for him when they won album of the year cause Im sure Big Boi knew it was much much more cause of "Love Below" then "Speakerbox".

LA Reid said that Big Boi, more than anyone, understood the power of the Outkast brand and never publicly displayed any jealousy or envy of Andre. Andre was afraid to put out The Love Below by himself whilst Big had Speakerboxx ready to go as a solo album and it was Andre who went to LA Reid asking about packaging both albums as an Outkast record. LA Reid told him he had two weeks, so Andre basically wrote and recorded Love Below in TWO WEEKS!

I think Big has always been secure in his skills as an MC and his status within Hip Hop. Remember it was Big who discovered Janelle Monae. It was Big who gave Bubba Sparx’s career a second lease on life (And his biggest hit song) It was Big who initially invested into Killer Mike’s career. It was Big who had the stones to release a solo album (which was successful both critically and commercially)

Remember, Big had a number 1 single from Speakerboxx, The Way You Move, which actually knocked Hey Ya from the number 1 spot. Big had no reason whatsoever to feel like he wasn’t a HUGE reason the album won AOTY.
