But But What if i like gun violence in my movies. Every film can't be Steel Magnolias or Driving Ms.Daisy. I wanna see some ill shyt every now and then. T2 and The Matrix is fake as fukk, but them shyts are great. and gunplay has a big part of that.

Fictional gun violence is lit, people are missing his point though, this seems entirely sarcastic to me.

edit: after further watching, it sounds like he might be serious, thats fukking stupid, censoring art isn't the solution to gun violence, I hate what this world is becomng

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
I'll say again.. He has a point.

Do we not think guns are cool as fukk? Why is that? It sure ain't from watching footage of actual war and shootings right? It's from movies. We covet what we see.. From white boys in the 50s watching westerns to us in the 90s watching New Jack City... We wanted those guns dammit. 357 magnum like Eastwood. Mac 10 like Nino Had.. Rockabye Baby!!!

We out here quoting movies, acting them shyts out.. Every time there's a shooting it's "If I was there with my gun I'd have......." "If they shot my daughter I wouldn't even tell, I'd have to find them fools myself." Same corny talk from the movies that we know dudes ain't doing. But they idolize that. Dude just mowing through 10-20-50 guys with no problems. When's the last time a hero killed 5 people, acting alone to save someone? Never right... But you'd think it'd happened 28 times a year according to movies..

You don't think it affects children? Or grown adults? How many gun nuts you know? Where you think they got the idea from?

It’s not the guns. It’s the cult of personality around the person.

Gangsters existed before movies but we have turned Al Capone into a dashing figure and not a fat STD ridden criminal. Same with the old West being this land of outlaws instead of a fairly regulated place of guns.

I LIVE IN A CARDBOARD BOX!
I mean. Add a sex scene w/o nudity to a movie and its rated R. Have the MC mow through a small army with nothing but dual pistols and attitude, its PG13.
Doesn't the MPAA add a strike to a movie now if someone is seen smoking a cigarette? I grew up watching Gremlins smoke cigs, drink beer, shoot guns, and horrifically explode in the microwave. And after all of that, the movie still got a PG rating. We've regressed and became so pussified in a little under 40 years. :scusthov:

My wife is from overseas and she does not understand the appeal of action movies and trying to explain/justify is difficult and while watching it with her I realize how stupid it comes off to the unfamiliar. So yeah they may make these movies available to the world do they consume it at the same rate? Is their foreign policy married to the idea that "might equals right" like the U.S.? Do they themselves make these type of movies a lot? I do think using violence as a solution to problems is more rampant here in the U.S. I thinknour leaders using violence is why we are more violent but violent entertainment is probably a factor as well. I don't think it is completely benign.

If this was the case why aren't other countries having this issue?
Hollywood is the biggest media machine in the world.
They post global box office numbers for violent movies all the time.
John Wick did like 300 million globally, why aren't any of those people worldwide shooting schools too if all it takes is watching a violent movie?

TYRONE GA!
Entertainment is entertainment. I can watch watch a Rambo marathon everyday for the rest of my life and never mistake fictional violence for real violence.

Same

But there are also others who are too easily influenced on the flip side. The problem with guns ain't the responsible ones with sense.

People don't wanna admit that Gun Culture is a huge part of American culture.
