I agree with the idea of systemic and leveraged bias towards our people, but we can't just throw our hands up and give into despair given the current era.
From his perspective, he came from a time where in spite of being under Jim Crow, his generation at least carried themselves with dignity and pride, that isn't the case now with the subverse introduction of crack/heroin into the Black community during the 80s/90s which splintered our homes.
The problem simply is lack of strong Fathers in our community, plain and simple, with no guidance from a dominant male, your children will be heathens, regardless of color.
