I'll admit, this monologue was blah...white comedians just aren't funny to me
Patrice woulda stuck the knife inThat was mid, but Burr himself isn't mid and he hasn't fallen off.
His last SNL monologue is enough to know he's still that guy, but they can't all be bangers. Especially since you've only got a week to work it out, and the fact that the jokes were probably one way last week and had to switch and be workshopped from Wednesday forward. He was just hesitant.
But I actually think if Kamala won he would have gone harder and been funnier because people would generally be in a better mood. Winners don't mind being roasted. That's why you can go hard at politicians at the White House Correspondents Dinner.
But since Kamala lost people have been walking around in a pre/post-funeral mood so I get why he didn't stick the knife in. The way people have been acting this week he easily could have made a white woman cry and run out of the audience on live TV.

It's not just snl. His specials have stunk, and I havent listened to his pods in many years. He started having his wife on too much, and he got too successful. His anger now feels like a schtick. It's also annoying to hear someone hide behind "dont listen to me, I'm an idiot" but still have a faux angry opinion on everything.oh its not THAT bad lol

But Bill Burr has classics. My favorite is his Arnold bit.
So you mean to tell me that Robin Williams, Bill Hicks, Lenny Bruce, and George Carlin didn't get a chuckle out of you?
not a one, in acting Williams was the goat, but stand up, nah
Nah. I think the last 3 years of SNL has been funny as hell but so far season 50 has been really bad outside of Weekend Update which always hits imo.I really don’t watch SNL anymore, but I’ll catch it on demand cuz he is ACTUALLY funny
There was some stupid “bald men” skit I saw when I was flipping channels last night but I assume the rest of the show was better than that
"he [arnold] should be somewhere unloading trucks in Transylvania"I'll admit, this monologue was blah...
