Yo @Chubbs If you think it's favoritism then I'm willing to go best 2 out of 3 on the trap shyt my guy. I'm a little pissed that you would even use that excuse to why you losing like you didn't think I had that element in my chamber :francis:
Your beat is nice but we've heard that one from you about 50 times on here :yeshrug:
Yeah you are versatile and I'm not trying to shyt on your work but to beat ME you got to work bro :ehh:
Hell I battled you in the freestyle tourney and I'm STILL mad cause I KNOW my shyt was better :gucci:
I know you remember that shyt so I already KNEW going into this battle that I was winning. Take it how you want to :manny:
best 2 out of 3 bring it :myman:

Woah.... Woah... What did I walk into?

Fellas really? That's why I never call these beat battles as they aren't limited in time but rather a showcase of a full instrumental, making it more of a showcase or song competition or just overall instrumentals The thing about these is that I feel that there are times where the best showcase or instrumental doesn't always prevail because everyone has there own merit system. That said, whenever I vote I want to make sure people know exactly why I voted the way I did. That puts everything out in the open and lets everyone know why I voted the way I did. More on this later in the post.

@bigrodthe1 The Melodic ideas are nice! However there is so much going on that it's difficult to follow. I feel that this would work well in a ios/cellphone game. That said because there's so much going on It would be difficult for vocals to fit on this. Use of filters can work really well cutting out some of the frequencies to provide space. The arpeggiated melodies crowd the mix not leaving any space. On top of that the drum fills further take up even more space.

@Chubbs This is a bop, modern day trap music. Clean mix, hitting drums, and a simplistic yet catchy melody that leaves space for an Mc to provide vocals on.

My vote for this one goes to @Chubbs

Now fellas I can understand the frustration on both fronts

In chubb's view The mix is so clean, and it sounds like a hard hitting modern trap record, it's a track record. How can this be losing?" I can understand it.

In Rod's View " My track is dope, and its different, and we've seen Chubbs make this style before so... "Do something out of the box to beat me."

That's what it looks like just from reading the end of this thread.

Because music is so subjective I cannot get in the minds of every voter on this thread. but one thing I can say for sure is that never take these showcases as the end all be all because everyone is voting on whatever system they have. and that may not always equate to technically the "best track" it could be something as simple as it being different.

The point is to build and grow from here. Heck build with each other if possible. There's a lot of positive relationships that can form here.

That said keep pushing forward

u right music is subjective, but also we know that some folks will vote for others just based on seniority.:francis: but that is just an opinion not a fact:yeshrug:

In this case like i stated in my comment above,on another day rod would have had my vote.

we also have too remember that most cats in here lean towards boom bap( which i love) so nikkas that lean towards producing trap might feel slighted or at a disadvantage, but it is what it is

i agree with @bigrodthe1 do a 2 out of 3 to see who wins, and since the votes are public u can see whether u have a point or not :yeshrug:

shyt not that fukking serious.
You win some and you lose some.

There's been plenty of times I voted against big rod but the thing is with Rod, is every now and then he comes through with something truly unique so if you matched up with him during one of these moments you better bring it. If not, then he might edge it out. Chubbs beat was solid all around, but it wasn't as creative or as catchy as Rod's beat. That was the difference for me.

Its like boxing, sometimes the underdog pulls it out. :manny:

I don't even get the whole favoritism/seniority angle cuz both these nikkas been here forever :dwillhuh:

I agree, none of this actually matters in the grand scheme of things. Trap may be disadvantaged but this is a "Trap" matchup if the system is flawed. I've felt that several times looking and listening to other battles, but in the grand scheme of things you don't get anything from the wins here other than people seeing your name consistently outside of feeling good about the win individually, but all of that is temporary. there has to be something beyond a vote that you're shooting for at a certain point especially when things go like this and if people are voting on seniority or favoritism then that just shows that the votes don't really matter at the end of the day. However what does matter is the constant production of music to something greater the constant work on the craft and pushing the envelope forward. People want to win that's human nature, but when things can be easily compromised it doesn't matter. The big thing here is does the winner felt like they won? or does the loser feel like they loss" if so then that's something else entirely that they have to work on. Not getting to high on the "wins" or to low on the "losses."

Sounds clashing together, bad mix, melodies out of key at certain points. Come on bruh. Let's just keep it real.
