calm down bro, relax

but you did make a good point with this quote though.

When I was listening to that record, I actually thought that Notorious B1 dude sounded like Eazy-E a bit,

so that flow might have been common back then.

But nonetheless, how do you explain his name? Notorious B1.

Biggie was obviously inspired by this guy, the question is how much?

:what:

He couldn’t use his name because biggy smallz was already trademark by a Caucasian rapper from the west coast who ironically had ties to Pac - The record label gave him the name notorious BIG

how in da hell would he be inspired by a rapper he probably never heard of :snoop:

Above the fray.
This dude is going to fukk around and get sued by James Mtume's estate for not clearing the sample back then.

Only similarity is "The Notorious" as part of the stage name.
But if you listen to Prodigy tell it, Big only did it to bite off of "the infamous" part of Mobb Deep's stage name. hehehehehr

The dude who said this guy was channeling Eazy is right. He was even using West Coast slang and terms in the song.

RIP to Mtume, Prodigy,,and Eazy E., RIP to BIG

And RIP to. the 1st "Biggie Smalls" Calvin Lockhart

Did you listen to that freestlye that was posted? Biggie was calling himself B.I.G. & Big at 17 in 89 & flowed in a very similar way he did on Juicy. So do you think that Mississippi nikka saw that tape & "stole" from Big lol? It's silly bro because that was a flow used a lot in the 90's. Treach rapped in that same cadence/rhythm so was he biting lol? Do you see where I'm going

Eastside of that Motor
Never heard this :leon:

First it was a sample so it’s not surprising someone took it first. And really not surprising if Puff heard it on the low and stole the sample.

Second his name was biggie smalls but some rapper already had the name and sued him so he became notorious
