i don't think that he wasted his talent...is just that alot of people, myself included, feel that he could've been in the nas/jay/big/pac league if it wasn't for his laid-back/weed smocker attitude and personality.....i saw a recent interview of his for the breakfast club....the dude really doesn't like fame at all and is a introvert type character....he reminds me a bit of NaS in that aspect, only that NaS seemed to managed better the fame part that came with the territory...

honestly i feel that Mos Def, Method Man and AZ could've been hip hop icons

Everything indicated, early on his career, that Meth could be the biggest rapper of all-time.

I never though that bout him, he overachieved imo, and I like Tical and T2 and black out 1&2.. BUT I will say when he had that show with meth coming off that movie I did expect him to do a few more big movies or atleast be a ice T or LL type and have a recurring role on a tv show

This and it's not even close. The fact that we never got a true Hip Hop solo album from him is one of the biggest disappointments in hip hop history. Atleast Mos dropped one classic album before falling off :to:

:yeashrug: not a fan and am glad he aint do an album :yeshrug: talking about overrated, he was dope as a group but solo naw I'm good

Grafh, j-hood, shells, posta boy, big L, banks, lord have mercy, skillz, canibus, killa sin, the list goes on. The game changed and got all glittery and gay, which took these names out of potential lime light, or some died, got bids, etc.
