I was a fan of the New Danger and the Ecstatic (which I thought was underrated).

Yea The Esctatic was cool, and I even like True Magic to a degree. But all those albums feel like they would have been way better if he just rapped.

Andre 3K...That lack of at least ONE solo album is just flat out unfair...Love below doesn't count although its :ohlawd:

Cudi...My GOD! The first album and the kid names Cudi were near perfect man...Outside of a few dope album cuts after that, he's been overall a disappointment...

Wale is on the fast track to this status as well...
At first I wasn't gonna ride with you, but you know what... yeah. We've always wanted that 3 stacks solo album after SB/TLB. I guess one day we will. I wouldn't wait on it though. 3K is like Haley's comet or something, catch that dude on a random track once every blood moon.

1 obvious answer is DMX. Another is Lauryn. Kurupt is another. Royce, Joe Budden & Crooked I are some others.

Sticky Fingaz, at least solo wise. Not waste of talent maybe, but not fully used in the right way & to his best potential IMO. Dude's solo album is such a gem. Plus he directs, writes for movie/TV you can tell in the way he writes music. Dude can tell great cohesive stories while being animated with his energy about it.

Kinda the same with Az & Bootcamp Clik. Think both just werent signed to as big labels & their timing was bad. They had to compete with almost similar cats (AZ-Nas & Bootcamp Clik with Wu-Tang Clan).

Mos Def could be mentioned too. As well as Ras Kass. Bizzy Bone & Canibus are up there too.

All the artists i named i love btw. So its not all wasted in the same sense or like im not a fan of what they've put out already or like most of them aint legendary already. Just saying i see bigget potential in them & a few others.

nah... he went super bi polar... and he was always feuding with bone too...

hell his personal deamons were prob the reason he ripped it on the early bone stuff... but later on in life he just went a whole bunch of ways...switching to islam i think... that crazy interview... bone thugs feuds.. not touring... dude that STINT WITH THE AFGHAN CHOLOS HI POWERED ENTERTAINMENT..wtf was that..
QUOTE]

Which one?
Care to link it?

As much as I loved Bone as a group in highschool, I honestly couldn't care for nothing else other than Bizzy's verses and shyt even though the group went in on a whole on many songs. I was mad hyped for his solo work but getting cds in the Caribbean back in them days was hard as shyt unless you wanted to risk sending your money away to some bunk ass back page cd store from an urban mag and Napster wasn't created as yet.

Always felt that he would blow up and bring the solid shyt he did on the early bone albums like on this BET Uncut classic....but nah.:mjcry:

LORD HAVE MERCY

Is the single greatest waste of talent.
Although, he supposedly did waste his talent cause culturally he was not pleased with the original direction of flipmode.
Which, I kinda agree with and imo, it did hurt flipmode's draw/market saturation.
Yet, I also feel if he went through with whatever it was that made him feel he was compromising.
That It would have pigeonholed lord have mercy.

Lord have mercy was the last posse cut feature rapper.
to spit once and be arguably one of the most skilled in rap off one feature/posse cut like:

K solo
Az
