I was in high school when that movie came out, and I remember a couple of my classmates spoiling the end.
First time I saw the Usual Suspects was at my aunt's house. Her and my cousin kept hyping up the ending saying I wouldn't believe the twist at the end. They hyped it up so much that I kept thinking about what it would be as I was watching it.
About halfway through the film, I was like "hold up, is Kevin Spacey the crime boss? Is that the twist?" And they were like

Unpopular opinion about the Usual Suspects it’s just an ok movie without that plot twist
I'll take it a step forward and say the twist itself isn't even that great and kind of cheap

I mean it's been years since I've seen it, but I remember feeling like the twist just made everything else that happened in the movie feel pointless and like a waste of two hours lol. But to be fair, it's been awhile since I've watched it and my opinions on movies in general have changed since then
