Nah. Not even being nice about it anymore. For the bigger picture we need to support this. Future generations of BLACK athletes will finally be able to own real wealth with their own brands. It's time to break up NIKE's hold on the game.
If this was Beastmode (just one example) with his dope gear, telling Nike, naw you can't eat off the name I made, you gotta license this. I'm all with it and that would be a HELL of a boss play.
I ain't supporting black athletes losing and wasting millions of dollars investing into manufacturing shoes that's dumb ass hell.
You do know the point of discussing black ownership and business is money, not the actual ownership right?
Michael Jordan with a 700million dollar Nike check can do a lot more for black businesss, communities and future generations of his family than a person with 100% of a business that makes nothing.
Nobody should follow the LB blueprint. They should follow the Lebron blueprint, who has turned his friends and there generations into millionaires, and also employed hundreds of black people across the USA in the legit businesses he started all from Nike and NBA paycheck.
Again, building up the black community isn't about owning a bunch of nothing. It's about accumulating wealth and strategically owning and employing people. Everybody ain't meant to be owners, and every rich person isn't a CEO.
Wake me up when someone comes with some quality items, a quality brand and balls out in their sport, and then sells it to Nike. I'm 100% wit it.
