LKGN is a masterful response record imo because of how Big is able to address different things without really addressing it.

Kind of like OJ Simpson's if I DID IT book. Like for one, why allude to being involved in both shootings if you're going to claim your innocence afterwards? Why release the record in the first place? It's not about hiding your hands to fans but rather the police. When Big released Who Shot Ya, the story is that Pac heard that and felt like Big knew something and was in cahoots. True or not, Pac was paranoid and Suge believed in his paranoia enough to support his beef against Bad Boy. So what does Big do? He plays into it by saying things like "Blood flood your dungarees", "Slugs miss ya, I ain't mad at ya". "My team in marine blue". "Laugh now, cry later", It's like he's saying, "I wasnt involved but I'ma make yall believe I did because this is how delusional yall are."

"Maniacs put my name in raps"
Here Big goes at Pac's thug image by mentioning how he's flat out snitching on records but also addressing the "Big scared to mention my name" argument. Big's basically saying he's dissing you subliminally because he isnt trying to fukk up his money and have police asking him questions." He's like what I'm saying is factual so, I'm suppose to use aliases and disguise my words.

Considering how connected Puff was to the SSC, it would've only made sense that he/they didn't actually use Pac's name here.

"Your whole life you lived sneaky, now you rest eternally sleepy"
Big highlighting the fact that Pac was always getting himself in trouble everywhere he went. Marin City shooting, Quad shooting, Vegas shooting.

"Look what you made me do, brains blew"
Again he's talking about Pac's poor decision making and parroting the narrative of Pac getting himself killed by attacking Orlando. Remember Big is mockingly saying "Look what you made me do" because Pac is blaming him/Bad Boy for everything he did to himself.

So yeah, Big doesnt lose any points from me for releasing this because if Pac was in the same position would he have given Big/Bad Boy any grace?

terrible take

biggie wore 2pac's stolen jewelry and hid behind puff daddy while 2pac and suge fukked their baby moms
he subliminally dissed 2pac only through KIM, which was weak and tacky ... then waited till he died to remotely speak on it ... which he still didnt straight forward address but performed it on LA radio anyways like a clown. Even if he didnt die, it wouldnt be looked at as an amazing diss because it wasnt direct and was after the actual battle. nikka was still scared to talk shyt even when his opponent was dead. His actual disses against Nas and other Ny rappers were better

Nikkas always making excuses for Pac's behavior. If Pac's allowed to feel some kind of way after getting shot (which he's entitled to) then Big had the exact same right. Was it bad taste releasing the song after Pac died? Yeah of course. But when Pac very publicly threw him under the bus, implicated him in a robbery/attempted homicide when he KNEW who got at him & why, & fuking Faith entitles anyone in that position to feel some kind of way

I'd like to know how honest some of you would be if someone you were cool did all that shyt that Pac did to Big to you & how you'd feel after they passed lol? I'm sure most of you lying nikkas would wanna piss on someone's grave for that but since it's Pac, the rules change

Dope track. 3rd verse was lazy tho.

As a producer, those horns are cheap sounding but they work somehow.

You don't diss somebody after they dead, that's a bytch move

It’s all fair in love and war. Plus This was the 90s. It’s not like he could record a song and put it on a streaming service. Diss songs came out when albums were released. Again, the level of disrespect from Pac meant this beef was everlasting.

I'm sure Biggie would have had some kind of Pac diss on LAD if Pac was still alive in March of 97. It ain't Biggie fault that Pac crashed out on a gang member and said gang member killed Pac in retaliation before Biggie could drop his album :heh:

Keep in mind that Biggie dissed Wu Tang and Nas on "Kick in the door" and Ghost, Rae and Nas were all still alive at the time.

Yall nikkas really think a man who grew up in the hood in Brooklyn in the crack era was scared of 2pac?
