1. Suge had more pull when he held the reins. As far as “street credit” goes, that shyt don’t matter when you have power. Big U ain’t the most reputable when it comes to LA politics… but he had nikkas to do his bidding so it didn’t matter. That’s why I made the comparison in the first place.

Two things are true:
1. Big U ain't extorting or bullying no neighboring gangs or rivals today; his modern influence is within the confines of tge 60s and hip hop/entertainment. Cats from rival areas wouldn't let him push up on em like this;
2. Big U's reputation came from what he was in his youth...
Both of these statements are true but we have a handful of cats committed to acting as if the Big U persona is a make believe one. I can guarantee you that all the neighboring Blood gangs have a healthy respect for Big U, and have for a long, long time. Not a fear, because theres a Eugene from everybody's click. But they all have a healthy respect for him because his name been ringing for many years...
The opposing Crips probably do too...
High profile situations like this always attract attention from people not from the area, and given its a criminal case, they always delve into street politics to some degree. Everybody from LA not plugged in, the same way everybody in NY wasn't plugged into 50 and Preme; everybody in Chicago ain't plugged into Durk and them; everybody in Houston not plugged into the Prince family; everybody in Atlanta not plugged into the YSL/YFN shyt; everybody in DC not plugged into the 80s murder capital era; so on and so forth...
But in all these cases plenty of consumers from across the country have opinions on it, it's part of what comes with publicity...
