The bar for AEW is stupidly low :laff:. TNA should have pandered to smarks more to get the passes AEW gets.

AEW just a high budget TNA

With lower ratings, a million more special episodes and more excuses.

I’m not saying it isn’t

I just know how much this site absolutely hated his guts for the last 10 years, so it’s gonna be funny watching the AEW love fest transition from the Stanley’s

Its already started, now Show is a great wrestling mind out of the blue. Guys didn't want to see him now they have a list of things they want him to do :laff:. So guys don't have to die to get their flowers they just have to stop working for Vince :mjlol:. People really act like Vince fukked their mothers and kicked their pillow forts down.

Having gotten my laughs in, I'm glad Show gets to run Tony's pockets I can't remember any racial issue involving him :patrice:so he's good in my book. Money marks are meant to be bled dry. Hope he enjoys getting paid by Jacksonville Dixie and seeing some old friends.

Pro wrestling veteran Big Show (Paul Wight) reportedly left WWE after the two sides were unable to agree on financial terms for a new contract.

As noted earlier today at this link, AEW has announced that Wight signed a long-term contract to wrestle and be a commentator for the new AEW “Dark: Elevation” series that premieres soon on YouTube. PWInsider reports that Wight and WWE failed to agree on terms for a new contract last month, just days after he appeared on the RAW Legends Night episode on January 4.

It was noted that while at RAW on January 4, Wight was very open about his unhappiness with the contract situation.

It appears the departure was finalized between WWE and Wight last week as Show was officially moved to the WWE Alumni roster on last Friday, February 19.

AEW is set to announce more details on Wight’s signing and Elevation during tonight’s Dynamite episode on TNT. “Big Show” remains the #1 trend on Twitter today, while “Wight” is currently trending at #5 worldwide.

Big Show’s last WWE match came on the July 20, 2020 RAW episode, a loss to Randy Orton. He had only worked a handful of matches last year, and spent all of 2019 on the shelf with an injury. He did appear for The Undertaker’s “Final Farewell” segment at the Survivor Series in 2020, and appeared at RAW Legends Night back on January 4 of this year. Show first signed with WWE back in February 1999. He leaves the company as a Grand Slam Champion – a two-time WWE Champion, a one-time ECW Champion, a two-time World Heavyweight Champion, a three-time WWE Hardcore Champion, a one-time WWE United States Champion, a one-time WWE Intercontinental Champion, and a eight-time Tag Team Champion.

Stay tuned for more.

come on now. A change of secenery can do wonders for some of these guys. No one was bragging about Brodie Lee before he left but having a little creative control can refresh your creativity and make you a better performer. People aren’t excited cause he is in AEW they are excited about seeing a decent and in this case pretty good wrestler get to come out with no restrictions and not have to be the same tired act they were in wwe

If Konnan is to be believed, Punk's asking price was much higher than what AEW was willing to pay. Believe this was before Punk showed up on the Backstage show.
At this point I can see that.. I also don’t see why Khan didn’t go ahead and drop the bag at least for a 1 year deal. CM Punk’s return to wrestling is bigger then any Sting and Big Show signing or NJPW/Impact collaboration

Cena or any of the other super prominent figures never jumpin ship

I like it a lot if they make the match with Shaq, take Cody out of it. Show vs Shaq is an actual draw to casual fans, Cody vs Shaq is "Oh, Shaq is wrestling?" to casual fans.

What in the fukk is this?

This is definitely something they should have saved as a surprise. Not that he moves any needles. Just as a shock.

Guy was on raw like a month ago?

Yeah, Nick Aldis was just on Konnan's podcast talking about this. Spoilers suck. If you were watching tonight and had no idea this would shock the hell out of you.
