Beat is dope and the lyrics are good but I just don't like Big Sean. Maybe it's his voice.
ALC is an all time great but I would say half the rappers he works with are either mid or worse. Big Sean, Westside Gunn, Earl Sweatshirt, Oh No, Action Bronson and to a lesser extent Conway and Benny the Butcher releases I'm just there for the beats and hopefully MC isn't too annoying.
Genuine question. Who is active that would work with him that he's not working with? Jay, Nas, Jadakiss, them dudes aren't working with him right now, clearly. He just said he's been trying to do a project with Jada forever but can't get Jada to do it. Styles P won't do it. Alc does shyt with Kendrick, Drake, Cole, Kanye, Q, Danny Brown, etc, but clearly they don't wanna do full projects. Besides them, I feel like Gibbs, Roc Marci, Boldy, Conway, Benny, Vince, etc, are basically the best dudes left in the game.I’m glad it’s not just me who feels that way.
I feel like I might just be old and out of the loop, but what other options are there without him having to go the super old head route (obscure 90's artists). He's doing a Mobb Deep album right now, so to some extent he's already doing this. And/or he could work with a lot of the rappers that Statik works with, like Lil Fame or Termanology, etc, OR work with a lot of the super young kids in their early 20's, but that definitely would come across like he's trying too hard.
It's almost 2025. I don't think the realistic options are as plentiful as ya'll think they are.
