i refuse to conform
The Big L's back to attack with a phat rap
Matter of fact black I'm putt-in' Harlem on the map
What's up cause I'm a stiggy star
Breakin' 'em up and then talkin' they heart
You better believe that Big L is the man that be rippin' microphones apart
I'm undefeated that's the stone truth
Cause battlin' me is like fightin' a gorilla in a phone booth
I take lives with no pride
I just com-mitted a homicide
A punk brother died cause he tried
To take my cash but he didn't last
I pulled out fast
I tried to bash then I blast on his monkey ass (boom)
I make a lot of doe
I'm quick to spot a foe
Even if my grandma violate she gotta go
When I was young I played with guns not a kiddy toy
Cause I'm a ruff rugged gangsta not a pretty boy
Facts on tracks I recite well
Everybody be like Mike but Mike wanna be like L

two different albums, lifestylez get a 4/5 i enjoyed this more but L is relatively one dimensional to listen to for a whole album

capital punishment is more complete, you had the singles and you had the hard hitting joints and decent guest appearances to mix it up. very dope album and one of the better ones of the late 90s. cutting out some of the skits would make it even better - 4.5/5

Pun's, quite easily and i like Lifestylez like everybody else.
don't think i ever rewound a song back so many times in a row before playing the rest of the album the way i did when i heard Beware for the first time.

lol, I actually replay a lot of songs on Big L's album.

All Black
Danger Zone
LifeStylez Ov Da Poor And Dangerous :ohlawd::gladbron:

Funny enough, I liked these 3 songs a LOT more that "Put It On" :ninja1: The other songs were great as well.

Capital Punishment had a lot of skippable tracks IMO, the only tracks that I replay a lot on that album is Beware, Twinz and I'm Not a Player. The others range from :ehh: to :childplease:

I wouldn't really say one dimensional...L rapped about the consequences of being involved in the street life (Street Struck),rapped from the perspective of a guy doin' dirt (Danger Zone, LifeStylez Ov Da Poor and Dangerous), and just flexed his rapping skills (Put it On, 8 Iz Enough, Da Graveyard) and so on.

I can agree with that album consisting mostly of L flexing is rapping skills, but L also talked about different aspects of being a hood dude.

CP for me and I think the L album is very dope. 4.5 mics ish, but to me CP is 5 mic classic. Both great mc's.

:wtf: The first 2 songs on CP are Beware and Super Lyrical. By far better then any song on Lifestylez. I remember when Lifestylez came out nobody thought it was that great but all of a sudden revisionists who started listening to Big L after he died try to push it to some pedistal it was never at. Its a ok album at best

fukk I'm a big fan of Big L but this is how I remember it also.

Damn near every album got 4 mics then. I gurantee you never heard Lifestylez before in your life anyway. You the same idiot who goes to lyric sites looks at lyrics then post about it like you heard the song before and you already been exposed for doin it. On top of that you change your opinion every other hour and got plenty of posts on Sohh where you say Pun is better then Big L. You should be banned from every hip hop forum you retard

I admit I was slow to catch on, but Ronnie I don't think is a real person. Maybe Yo Yo Ma from sohh. Don't even give it attention.
