Except it's not. There are worse rim protectors out there. Jokic struggles with guards going downhill to the rim like many centers do, but he's good against bigs trying to take him on in the paint coming off post actions. And again, there's a lot more to defense than just protecting the rim.
He was #1 in deflections and #1 in steals out of all bigs in the league this season.
We see enough where he doesnt make players fearful enough to alter their shots.
The majority of centers aren't feared, so this isn't saying much. Gobert is a 3x DPOY and his defense isn't
feared. Players routinely go at his neck at the rim.
