This slipped through the cracks with all this heat that’s been coming out. About halfway through while I’m grilling and it’s not hitting like I was hoping :francis:

I don't what it is about Krits albums but they always fall short for me. This album isn't bad at all but nothing about it is memorable.

Agree on the first part.

Its like he doesn't make bad records at all. They are either meh or fukking amazing.

This album just doesnt hit as much. Problem is i have very high standards for
Krit. I want everything to be Boobie Miles, just touch down, rise n shine etc.

After listening to this all weekend, I definitely think Krit hit the mark with this one. Probably 8.5 out of 10. Some very high highs (KRIT HERE, Everytime, Make It Easy, I Made, MISSISSIPPI, Prove It, and Blue Flame Ballet are all blassics)

KRIT HERE reminds me of R4 Theme or 4EvaNaDay Theme in the best way possible. Takes it up a level with the advanced instrumentation’s. Make it Easy sounds like it should be in a score of a movie. Blue Flame Ballet makes me want to “rock some cufflinks and a tux while throwing dollar bills.” I Made is the perfect slapper. Prove It is dope all the way around. Great hook great Krit verses and great guest feature from Cole. MISSISSIPPI is the standout to me. So southern. So black. Just that jazzy bounce. The acronym I didn’t get until like 5 listens in. (Maybe I’m So Southern I Sometimes Scare Ignorant People’s Perception of Independence.) The beat that keeps getting more complex. Sounding like a live band. Man this the one for me.

The misses are not even misses really, they are just ok or missing this one thing to make it.

High Beams is perfect except it takes too long to get to Krit’s harmonizing. Outerspace is dope. Believe is dope. Family Matters has some dope raps and and interesting beat but just needs a better hook. Learned from Texas is cool. Energy is dope. Obvious and Addiction are crazy dope, especially for commercial records.

Overall a great great album. I can see people put off initially because it doesn’t sound how you expected but I encourage everybody to give it a few more spins.

7 out of 10 album to me.

Believe
Family matters
Mississippi
Energy
Blue Flame Ballet
Prove it
Make it Easy
Are the standout tracks

The rest has no replay value to me. And that song with Rico Love is just trash (he put that on because Rico was the EP, I’m assuming)

Krit became my favorite rapper because of that soulful feel all his shyt had. He is becoming less and less soulful. Lyrics are on point still , be the vibe is a bit different
