:mjcry: this is so dope.

KRIT has released seven albums now between retail and free projects, and six of them are 4/5 stars or better, IMO. The other is 3.5. Most rappers period don't have numbers that good, much less many peers. It's sad because this new music industry format pressured him to release all those free projects so early. Imagine if he waited two years between a couple of of these albums instead of one year - then he has a career that at least spans 10-12 years :wow:

But Live From The Underground was dissed because it wasn't as good as the three free projects before it, since he couldn't use samples or get great cameos. Crazy how much we hold up the retail project to mean so much more than the free even though they're all full projects of original music.

Cadillactica evolved his sound perfectly, but it felt like it was too late in terms of his public perception, despite him dropping another dope free project the year before that :mindblown:

Dude is one of the few rappers who legitimately has a case to be called underrated. Dude has put in the work, and he comes correct every time. You're never going to get a trash project from him

I try to like Krit but I thought Cadallatica was trash tbh

He's had much better releases
Cadallactica is a classic imo. The feeling of you being in outer space. The sounds were dope, the lyrics as well and the flow. Ethered drake, ethered contemporary hip hop standards and culture, beats were crazy. Hooks on point.

His post contradicts itself. How can you say you try to like an artist and at the same time say his earlier work was better. Oh and @ Cadillactica being trash?? I can't even keep a straight face at that statement

player shyt...when tip got out of jail the last time (i think) and he grabbed krit to produce that one single I assumed he would get mad work from point forward...every nikka from the south should make it a point to get a beat from dude...dope project as usual
I've noticed that KRIT has ALL the love of his peers in the South. Dude is validated in ways the mainstream doesn't

Ludacris had him produce and feature for him
Seen him with Bun B and other OGs
